Israeli settlers raid Palestinian town, steal sheep, vehicle
The attackers targeted a farm owned by Thaer al-Nabbali in the town of Kobar, assaulting the farm’s guard, tying his hands, and briefly detaining him before fleeing with the livestock and the vehicle.
The incident comes amid a rise in settler violence against Palestinians and their property across the West Bank, with repeated concerns about the lack of civilian protection and the absence of accountability for the perpetrators.
Since October 2023, Israeli forces and settlers have reportedly killed over 1,100 Palestinians in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, injured nearly 11,000, and detained approximately 21,000. In a landmark ruling last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories illegal and called for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
